I'm Tim DeJong. I took the family business in 2000. My dad opened Freds Muffler Shop in 1963. We first opened the business in what is now the Youth For Christ building across from the drive up Midwest One Bank. In 1978 we bought the Sinclair gas station and my brother Terry DeJong and I took down the building, brick by brick, and helped build our building now. We have had a monkey, lizard, and snake in our shop. Currently I have a helper name Tory Mathis. He has been here since 2007. My brother Terry DeJong worked at the shop until 2008, he got a job with the music department at William Penn University. Recently in 2012 we started this website and selling older parts on Ebay.
